Those who study Japanese language often say, “If I tell to Japanese people
that Japanese language is not so difficult, they look unsatisfied.” While it is quite difficult
to understand Chinese characters “Kanji”, and other
characters like “Katakana”, “Hiragana”, it is also true that Japanese language is
easier than Japanese think. Anyway, a foreigner, who can write Japanese as
well as Japanese, can be seldom found. It is an exception in case of Mr.
Peter Francle, who is famous mathematician and juggler in Japan. As for French language, the verbs have 9 kinds
of conjugation, which are changeable according to persons. It means that
there are (multiply 7 by 6 equals to) 42 conjugations plus present and past
participle, while there are only participles, present, past. And rich
vocabulary and expressions make French language more complicated. But the phenomenon, which is completely
different from Japanese, is that there are many “foreigners” who speak French as well as French people.
For example, it is a case of my Egyptian friend who is journalist. She
studied from elementary school to university, which are French speaking.
There are also many African countries where French is official language,
even if they have another mother tongue. By the way, how the reaction of French people
for those who speak completely French. The Egyptian says, “For French people, existence
of foreigners like me is almost unacceptable. The French editors always
correct my French, even if there is no mistake. If French journalist write
the same thing, they won’t correct.” Perhaps, it is natural for her to have such a
confidence, because she was brought up in French speaking family. Moreover,
she works in daily Egyptian newspaper written in French. For her, Arabic
language is foreign language. I often hear that French people force
foreigners to speak in French, but if the foreigner speak too well; I find
